Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Ackerman Pierce. As an Academic Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with complex and challenging needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated National Curriculum core subjects to students with a wide range of needs.
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and materials to support student learning.
Requirements:
- Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
- QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects.
- Experience working with SEMH/ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
- 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
