Outreach Tutor Job Description

Milk Education invites applications for an Outreach Tutor in the Surrey area, responsible for supporting students who have been permanently excluded from their mainstream setting. As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with students to develop their academic skills and provide emotional support.

The role of an Outreach Tutor is to provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in need of academic support, develop personalized lesson plans, and assist with homework assignments. You will also collaborate with teachers and other educational professionals to ensure student success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic support to students in need
  • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans
  • Assist with homework assignments and test preparation
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure student success

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Subject specialist and previous tutoring experience
  • Knowledge of special education principles and practices is a plus
  • Strong ability to educate and communicate effectively with students of different needs and backgrounds
