Job DescriptionAs an Aero Pre-Sales Engineer at Viasat, you will play a critical role in identifying customer problems and proposing competitively advantageous solutions using our products and services. You will work closely with sales teams, partners, and end-users to define, shape, and understand technical requirements, steering customers towards Viasat's unique differentiators.
Key Responsibilities- Meet and exceed assigned targets for profitable sales (revenue and bookings)
- Act as the technical face of Viasat to end-users and partners, using our technology differentiation and compelling vision of the future to help set the brand preference for Viasat
- Develop new solutions to meet emerging market requirements, including identifying new industry Partners to work with
- Provide excellent technical support for customer demonstrations, trials, and opportunities, assisting technical teams to test, troubleshoot, and solve problems
- Deliver written technical content for proposals and costings for professional services to the sales and commercial teams for customer proposal inclusion
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations on integrated solutions, articulating benefits to customers
- Provide in-depth technical workshops to partners and end-users, including live demonstrations and hands-on training sessions
- Will be recognized in the broader industry as a leader in their field, including representing Viasat at industry forums and giving presentations at industry events
- Deep understanding of regional needs that are ever mindful of cost, budget, and cultural considerations
- Proven experience of bringing products to market
- Should be eligible for Security Clearance in UK
- Work with customers, partners, and sales teams to define, understand, and shape technical solutions to meet or exceed end-user requirements
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally
- Highly organized, self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work to deadlines
- Flexible team player
- Able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Able to communicate at all levels, in particular technical solutions to customers, partners, and sales teams
- Experience with our growing portfolio of products and services, including hosted leasing, aircraft installations, ground segment compatibility, and new hardware introduction with a focus on Government Aviation ISR (manned and unmanned) use-cases
- Knowledge of aviation standards such as airworthiness and Supplementary Type Certificate (STC)
- IT literate in MS Office Word, Excel, etc
- Be reliable and hardworking
- Self-motivated and flexible
- Must be eligible to live and work in UK
- Experience working government/defence programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external, including Industry Partners
- Working knowledge of Security requirements
- Strong proficiency in partnering across an organization with colleagues in finance, contracts, engineering
- Demonstrated strong communication skills
