About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Optical Systems Designer to join our team at IC Resources in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with expertise in designing, developing, and testing optical systems and components.

As an Optical Systems Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative optical solutions for AR/VR headsets and HUDs. Your role will involve collaborating with our talented team to bring new optical technologies to market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and optimizing novel optical components and systems
  • Carrying out tabletop optical experiments and testing designs
  • Communicating and collaborating with internal teams, industry partners, suppliers, and customers
  • Contributing to patent and grant writing

Requirements:

  • Experience in table-top optical experiments
  • Knowledge of geometrical and ray optics
  • Proficiency in optical design tools, particularly Zemax
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
