Optical Engineer

A great opportunity for an Optical Engineer to join an exciting start-up in Cambridge who are developing AR/VR headsets. This optical engineer is expected to design, test, and optimise optical components/systems. There are two positions to be filled, an experimental-heavy role and a design/simulation-heavy role.
Requirements:
- A PhD in a relevant field OR Master’s degree plus some experience
- Experience developing optical imaging systems
- Experience in free space optical systems
- Experience in bench-top optical experiments
- Experience in ray tracing software and optical design/simulation tools – Zemax, OpticStudio or similar
- Ability to relocate to Cambridge/ surrounding areas to be onsite with team
