Barts Health NHS Trust is a leading healthcare provider in east London, seeking an experienced and motivated NHS Specialist Health Nurse to fill a Senior IBD Nursing Post. As a member of the team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing IBD management within our trust.

Job Description

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a dynamic and motivated nurse with experience in managing and caring for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The successful candidate will work alongside the IBD Specialist Nurses and Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), providing support, advice, and improved access for both inpatients and outpatients at Royal London & Mile End Hospital.

Main Responsibilities
  • Telephone assessment of patients
  • Face-to-face clinical review
  • Involvement in planning and delivery of biological therapies
  • Managing and running a day case infusion clinic
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • RGN Level 1 qualification
  • At least 5 years of post-registration experience, including 3 years recent experience in a GI setting
  • Experience of leading on service development projects
  • Advance Communication Skills training or commitment to taking it
Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is £45,859 - £64,487, depending on experience.
