Job Description:
The position of Clinical Nurse Specialist in GI Physiology is available at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This role is responsible for developing a nurse-led straight to test (STT) service within the GI Physiology department, streamlining the pathway for patients and enabling timely appointments. The successful candidate will have experience in GI Nursing and be trained in anorectal physiology and/or bowel management.

Main Duties:
  • Undertake 3 one-stop clinics per week and 1 follow-up clinic.
  • Clinical assessment and appropriate physiological testing and/or biofeedback/bowel management.

Person Specification:
Knowledge & Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse with active PIN
  • Relevant post-registration programme in GI nursing

Experience:
  • Able to undertake ano-rectal physiology
  • Able to undertake biofeedback
  • Experience of undertaking nurse-led clinics
  • Experience of clinical assessment of patients
  • Experience of supporting patients with complex physical and psychological needs

Salary: £54,000 - £65,000 per annum
