Job Title: Residential Support Worker - SEN Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at an SEN School in Canterbury. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care and support to students with SEN
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meals, and recreational activities
- Implement individualized care plans and educational programs
- Foster a positive and supportive environment that encourages social, emotional, and educational development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive support for each student
- Maintain accurate records and reports on students' progress and well-being
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and welfare of all residents
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will also need to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
