About the Role

At Turning Point, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities across England.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote the independence of the people we support
  • Support a full range of daily activities, including cleaning and cooking, days out, and going away on holiday
  • Arrange activities in the home and in the local community
  • Develop residents' life skills and personal interests
  • Help residents stay safe and healthy
  • Assist with personal care needs
  • Manual handling
  • Support people with medication
  • Ensure record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contribute to service monitoring requirements

Requirements

  • Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic
  • Flexible, patient, and non-judgmental
  • A great team player with lots of energy
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills
  • Able to complete the physical aspects of the role, such as manual handling, where needed
