Job Title: Diversity and Inclusion Officer

We are seeking an experienced Diversity and Inclusion Officer to join our team at HM Treasury. As a key member of our Banking and Credit Team, you will play a crucial role in promoting diversity and inclusion in the mortgage industry.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of diversity and inclusion principles, excellent communication skills, and be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders. You will work closely with senior officials, Ministers, and external partners to develop and implement policies that promote diversity and inclusion in the sector.

We offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, flexible working patterns, and access to a cycle-to-work scheme.

About the Role
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in the mortgage industry, working closely with senior officials, Ministers, and external partners.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based policies that support the government's goals for diversity and inclusion in the sector.
  • Collaborate with external partners to build and maintain strong relationships across industry, financial regulators, and other government teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality briefings for senior and ministerial engagement with the mortgage lending and home finance sector.
  • Identify and monitor developing policy issues, responding to parliamentary, public, and press activity/enquiries.
