Join Adapt Recruitment in their search for an experienced HR Administrator to provide maternity cover for a 9-month period. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in a fast-paced HR environment.
About the RoleWe are seeking an organised and administrative professional with proven experience in HR, preferably with payroll activities. As HR Administrator, you will be responsible for handling data entry for starters, leavers, payroll changes, and monthly overtime, ensuring accurate and timely input to meet payroll deadlines.
You will also coordinate appointments for Occupational Health referrals and Health Surveillance, including tracking and sending confirmations for multiple site locations. Additionally, you will administer and support the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring the completion of references, qualification checks, payroll forms, and induction checklist.
Your duties will include monitoring employee absences, verifying medical certificates, and calculating Company Sick Pay and statutory entitlements to ensure accurate pay. You will keep employee records up-to-date with shift rosters, holidays, and sickness absences; generate reports and manage access card distribution.
As an experienced administrator, you will prepare employment letters, manage internal recruitment processes, respond to reference requests, and maintain an organised filing system.
About the Ideal CandidateWe are looking for an individual who can commit to covering maternity from January 2025 to November 1st, 2025, with a handover period. The successful candidate will have proven administration experience, preferably with payroll activities, and be qualified to A-Level standard.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel (intermediate level), is essential. Experience with Workday is advantageous, although training can be provided. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of self-motivation, attention to detail, and organisational ability.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About the Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is approximately £28,000 per annum, which includes Company Sick Pay.
