Payroll Expert

To work as part of the payroll team within a Centre of Expertise focused on running end to end payroll processes for the main Airbus divisions in the UK, as well as providing specific services in relation to the Executive population and Share Administration.

• Payroll Processing: Be responsible for the accurate and timely running of all divisional payrolls from start to finish monthly.
• HMRC Compliance: Ensure that all divisional payroll accounts with HMRC are correct, investigating any misbalances and dealing with remittances for all third parties.
• Escalated Issues: Provide expertise on escalated complex issues and queries for the HR and Payroll processing teams.
• Statutory Compliance: Have a full understanding of the impact of Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental leave/Sick pay on each divisional payroll to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
• P11D and P60 Processes: Have a full understanding of the P11D & P60 processes for all divisions to ensure that you can be both accountable for these key annual deliverables and deal with client and external body queries.
• Tax and National Insurance: Deal with HMRC in relation to Tax and National Insurance queries, this will include building a relationship with the relevant CRM.
• Executive Population: Executive population responsible for the contractual administration for the executive population using the Workday catch up user role.
• Share Scheme Administration: To be the focal point for managing and delivering the share scheme administration for all divisions.
• Process Improvement: Proactively identify process improvements, engage with the relevant key stakeholders and own the full end to end process to ensure implementation.
• Legislative Updates: Stay up to date on relevant legislation and ensure that any forthcoming changes and potential impacts are highlighted to the leadership team.

• Experience: Experience within a payroll environment.
• Payroll System: Experience of a computerised payroll system (SAP/ Workday knowledge would be desirable).
• Payroll Knowledge: Knowledge of PAYE, SMP, SPP, SSP, Student Loans, Pensions and other deductions.
• Customer Service: Proven customer service experience both verbal and written.

• Payroll Qualification: Recognised payroll qualification (CIPP or equivalent) would be desirable.
• Higher Qualifications: A Levels or higher qualification would be advantageous.
