About the Role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading firm of chartered accountants in their search for a Tax Partner Designate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented tax professional to take on a key role in the firm's tax department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement tax efficient strategies for clients
  • Provide support to clients with complex UK and international tax issues
  • Work closely with the tax partners and wider partners to service a portfolio of owner-managed businesses
  • Oversee a team of junior tax staff and ensure the quality of tax work is delivered to agreed cost and timescales
  • Engage with local referrers and other external third parties to develop business opportunities
  • Confidently explain tax issues and options to clients in a non-technical manner and present to small groups in client workshops or internal training courses
Requirements
  • CTA/ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working in tax and a demonstrable passion for working with clients in the public and third sector
  • Experience of a client or customer-facing role
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio
  • Interest in building client relationships to generate fee-paying work
  • Experience of operating at a Tax Manager or Associate Director level within a busy professional practice
