As a Tax Partner Designate, you will work closely with the Tax Partners and wider Partners within the business, servicing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses. You will be supported by an experienced team and have the autonomy to manage your portfolio effectively. Key Responsibilities: * Develop and implement tax efficient strategies for clients * Provide support to clients with complex UK and international tax issues * Corporate tax: deal with basic tax planning, cross-border tax structuring, and deal tax structuring activities, restructuring, R&D, EIS, capital allowances * Personal tax: support the Head of Tax on tax projects for individuals, including dividend planning, CGT, trusts, non-domicile, VCT, and IHT * Oversee a team of junior tax staff * Ensure the quality of personal tax and corporate tax work is delivered to agreed cost and timescales * Work with the Tax Partners to grow and develop the firm and increase advisory services to clients * Engage with local referrers and external third-parties on business development * Confidently explain tax issues and options to clients in a non-technical manner and present to small groups in client workshops or internal training courses Requirements: * CTA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) * Experience of working in tax and a demonstrable passion for working with clients in the public and third sector * Experience of a client or customer-facing role * Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio * Interest in building client relationships to generate fee-paying work * Experience of operating at a Tax Manager or Associate Director level within a busy professional practice Benefits: * Competitive salary: £80,000-£100,000+ per annum * Parking * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * Competitive pension * Private medical insurance * Additional benefits This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional to develop their skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.
