Guildford, Surrey, United Kingdom Workman LLP Full time

Workman LLP, the UK's leading independent commercial property management specialist, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic HR and Payroll Operations Leader to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our core HR services, including HR Administration, Payroll, Expenses, and Benefits, that we deliver to the business. This newly created position within our established HR team will oversee the day-to-day operations of the core HR and payroll functions, including the processing of staff expenses, managing annual employee benefits administration, and helping progress and implement strategic HR projects.

You will directly line manage a team of HR and Payroll Administrators to help develop and implement relevant HR and payroll policies, procedures, and best practices to help streamline and improve efficiency across the function. Strong leadership skills are essential in this role as you will manage a team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure the highest quality of service is delivered.

This position is key to ensuring the business delivers projects that are compliant with UK employment regulations, including HMRC tax regulations, pension schemes, and GDPR data protection requirements. You will collaborate and build professional relationships with internal stakeholders, including Partners, Central Support Managers, Finance, and IT, to deliver seamless integration of new processes across the firm. Additionally, partnering with third-party supplier relationships, including HRIS, broker consultancy, benefits providers, and legal services, is crucial in this role.

A proven track record of working on multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines is required. As a visible role within the HR team, building relationships with the HR team, internal customers, and suppliers is paramount. Other duties include overseeing the administration of employee benefits programs, preparing and analysing HR and payroll reports, staying up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory changes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.

We offer a salary range of £50,000 - £55,000, along with a range of benefits, including hybrid working arrangements, core working hours, study support, discretionary annual bonus, healthcare, life insurance, and wellness programme.
