Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Allianz Insurance Plc. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll compliance with legislation, regulations, policy, HMRC, and business requirements. You will work closely with the People and Culture Support Centre, Business Partners, Finance, Pensions/Reward/Legal/Tax Team to deliver strategic payroll responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and thorough data entry and reconciliation of payroll data.
  • Work closely with Internal Audit function during the annual payroll audit process and support the external audit process.
  • Respond to queries from employees, HMRC, and the Business on payroll matters.
Requirements

To succeed as a Payroll Specialist, you will need:

  • A proven track record of payroll experience, with extensive understanding of taxation and statutory law in relation to payroll.
  • Knowledge of different payroll systems and processes.
  • Understanding of employee benefits in relation to payroll and taxation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Previous working knowledge of ITrent Payroll System.
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (including Maths and English).
  • Qualification/Membership of Institute of Payroll Professionals.

  • An estimated salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
