LTF Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a skilled Support Assistant to work with students aged 16-25 who require additional support due to complex difficulties and learning challenges. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist students in achieving their academic goals by providing tailored support.
  2. Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  3. Utilise positive reinforcement techniques to manage challenging behaviours.
  4. Promote student independence and self-advocacy through targeted skill-building activities.
The successful candidate will possess experience working with individuals with special educational needs, preferably within an educational setting. They should also demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting young people and a commitment to their personal growth. Current safeguarding training is advantageous, as is holding an enhanced child and adult barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or being willing to apply for one.
