About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Hydraulic Modeller to join our team at JBA Consulting. As a key member of our Catchment and River Restoration teams, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in delivering innovative and effective solutions for natural flood management and river restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and application of environmental hydraulic models to inform catchment and river restoration projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal and external clients on river and catchment restoration strategies.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams to steer design and ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Contribute to the development of business proposals and tenders to secure new projects and clients.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in environmental hydraulic modelling, with a strong understanding of catchment hydrology and river restoration principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and communication.
  • Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM, CGeog) or equivalent is highly desirable.
