Residential Childcare Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Individual to join our team as a Support Worker in one of our children's homes. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people who have experienced trauma and are in need of a safe and nurturing environment.
Our team of experienced professionals work closely together to create a warm and welcoming home environment, where young people can feel safe, supported, and encouraged to thrive. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to providing exceptional care and support to young people and is passionate about helping them to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily care and support to young people, including assisting with personal care, cooking meals, and participating in activities that promote their physical and emotional well-being. They will also be required to work closely with other members of the team to ensure that the needs of young people are met and that they receive the support and care they require.

- Assist young people with their daily routines, including getting ready for bed and waking up in the morning.
- Participate in activities that promote the physical and emotional well-being of young people, such as sports, arts, and crafts.
- Support young people with their education and personal development, including helping them with their homework and encouraging them to engage in activities that promote their personal growth.
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Qualifications in childcare or a related field, such as NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to communicate effectively with young people, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
