Residential Childcare Support Professional

As a Break Support Worker, you will be working hands-on with the young people living in the children's home. You will work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build relationships and trust with the young people, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust adults again. You will be a positive role model, encouraging new experiences and supporting the young people to develop their own identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and trust with the young people
- Support the young people in overcoming previous trauma
- Work with the therapeutic team to provide support and guidance
- Encourage new experiences and support the young people to develop their own identity
Requirements
- Full, valid, manual driving licence
- Ability to work shift patterns, including weekends
- Ability to work with challenging behaviour
- Ability to work as part of a team
