About the Role:

As a Break Support Worker, you will be working hands-on with young people living in our children's home. You will be part of a tight-knit team, building relationships and trust with the young people, and supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma. You will be a positive role model, encouraging new experiences and helping them develop their own identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support young people in their daily lives, helping them with their emotional and physical needs.
  • Work with the team to create a safe and nurturing environment, promoting the young people's well-being and development.
  • Encourage the young people to participate in activities and experiences that help them build their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic team to provide support and guidance to the young people.

Requirements:

  • A full, valid manual driving licence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing challenging situations with emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and young people.
  • Willingness to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, fully funded by Break.
