Finance Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at STEM Learning in York. This is a 10-month fixed-term contract for maternity cover.

The Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for providing effective account processing services while supporting internal and external customers. Your key tasks will include processing purchase orders, invoices, and expenses; preparing weekly purchase ledger BACS runs; processing payments to suppliers; and maintaining spreadsheet analyses.

Requirements
  • GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A – C, or equivalent
  • Experience in computerised accounts processing within a business or educational environment
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using MS Office and databases
  • Exceptional numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and cope with conflicting demands, while working to deadlines
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
