Finance Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at STEM Learning in York. This is a 10-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.

About the Role

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional account processing services to internal and external customers. Your key responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, invoices, and expenses, preparing weekly purchase ledger BACS runs, processing payments to suppliers, and maintaining spreadsheet analyses.

Requirements
  • GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A – C, or equivalent
  • Experience in computerised accounts processing within a business or educational environment
  • Excellent IT skills with experience using MS Office and databases
  • Exceptional numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to multitask and cope with conflicting demands, while working to deadlines
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
