About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join EMED Group as an Ambulance Care Assistant, providing patient transport services to support healthcare providers across the region.
Responsibilities
- Transport elderly, sick, and vulnerable patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
- Assist with the handling of patients, lifting, securing, and helping them in and out of the ambulance.
- Support patients with challenging behavior and/or mental health illnesses.
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness, and tidiness of the ambulance.
Requirements
- Committed to patient care and safety.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good physical fitness for patient handling and moving.
- Calm, considerate, and careful driver with no more than three penalty points on your license.
- Natural flair for team working and collaboration.
- Pass an Enhanced DBS check (company-funded).
- Ability to work flexible shifts.
- Familiarity with the local area.
