About the Role:


We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Extra Care Scheme at Baskeyfield House in the Middleport area of Stoke-on-Trent. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence.


Your key responsibilities will include assisting residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, communal areas for social activities, and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms at their request. You will also provide personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, and dressing, ensuring the importance of privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.


You will have the opportunity to take part in physical and mental stimulation by being a part of recreational and social activities with residents and as a group. A kind smile and supportive word are essential in providing excellent care, even in challenging situations.


Working Hours:


Part-time hours available, approximately 20 hours per week. Alternating shifts will be worked, including early and late shifts, with alternating weekends as part of the rota.
