Senior Radiation Protection Officer

RADIOACTIVE WASTE MANAGEMENT LIMITED seeks an experienced professional to fill the position of Senior Radiation Protection Officer. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and delivering operational safety assessments, with a focus on delivering comprehensive safety cases.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safety strategies to mitigate risks associated with radioactive waste management
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide expert guidance on radiation protection principles and practices to colleagues and stakeholders
- Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new technologies and procedures
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in radiation protection
Estimated salary: £65,000 - £85,000 per annum.
