We are seeking an experienced Lead Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Lead Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in developing our acute pathway services, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality care to patients and their families.

This is an exciting opportunity to bring your expertise and passion for clinical psychology to a new challenge. You will have the chance to develop and implement innovative strategies for improving patient outcomes and contribute to the growth and development of our trust.

With a strong background in clinical psychology and experience of leadership and management, you will be well-placed to succeed in this role. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Details:**

Salary: £68,000 - £90,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: Chester

Job Type: Full-time

Contract Length: Permanent

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • HCPC registration

Desirable:

  • Formal qualification in supervision
  • BPS chartered status and/or membership of ACPUK
  • Well-developed skills for communicating effectively, orally and in writing, highly technical, and clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS
  • Well-developed knowledge of the theory and practice of applied psychology and specialised psychological therapies in working with people with complex difficulties (e.g. severe MH problems, personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc)
