Job Description

A Family Law Specialist is required to provide cover at our Northallerton office.

The caseload consists of privately funded work, primarily related to agreed finances, contested children proceedings, and a few contested finances cases.

This is a full-time opportunity with a flexible schedule, requiring the specialist to be available for 3-4 days between August 2024. The role offers an excellent chance to gain valuable experience in family law.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Family Law Specialist to join our team in North Yorkshire. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in family law and a strong understanding of relevant legislation.

The successful applicant will be expected to handle a varied caseload, including matters related to agreed finances, contested children proceedings, and contested finances. A strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around £55,000 per annum, taking into account the location and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality legal advice and representation in family law cases
  • Handle a variety of family law matters, including agreed finances, contested children proceedings, and contested finances
  • Work closely with colleagues and clients to ensure effective case management and resolution
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and developments in family law

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in family law
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and court procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
