Consultant Anaesthetist
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients, leading a team of anaesthetists, and contributing to the development of our anaesthetic department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients, including pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia, and post-operative care
- Lead a team of anaesthetists, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care
- Contribute to the development of our anaesthetic department, including the design and implementation of new anaesthetic services
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Full GMC Registration and a license to practice
- Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
- Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry
- Experience in anaesthesia, including pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia, and post-operative care
- Leadership and management experience, including team leadership and quality improvement
