Locum Specialty Doctor Anaesthetist

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Anaesthetist to join our team at University Hospital Ayr. As a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our anaesthesia department.
About the RoleThis is a 12-month locum position with 10 programmed activities, including 9 direct clinical care and 1 Supporting Professional Activity. You will have the opportunity to develop sub-specialty interests, including perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia. On-call activity is resident, providing anaesthesia for emergency surgery, input to critical care, and stabilisation and transfer of level 3 patients.
About the DepartmentThe department of Anaesthesia at University Hospital Ayr comprises 43 Consultants, 15 SAS doctors, 20 Trainee Anaesthetists, and 3 Anaesthesia Associate trainees. You will be part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, innovation, and excellence in patient care.
