Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering anaesthesia and perioperative care for a variety of surgical specialties.
As a Specialty Doctor in Anaesthesia, you will be responsible for developing sub-specialty interests, including perioperative medicine and regional anaesthesia, and contributing to the department's goal of providing excellent patient care.

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is undergoing transformational change, with University Hospital Ayr being developed as a centre of excellence for orthopaedic elective surgery.
The department of Anaesthesia comprises of 43 Consultants, 15 SAS doctors, 20 Trainee Anaesthetists, and 3 Anaesthesia Associate trainees, providing a supportive and collaborative environment for the successful candidate.
The post offers a 12-month contract with 10 programmed activities, 9 of direct clinical care, and 1 PA for Supporting Professional Activity.
