About this role

We’re looking for a Nurse Functional Assessor to join our team at Maximus, where you’ll use your clinical skills to help people move forward with their lives. As a Nurse Functional Assessor, you’ll carry out assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand a person’s condition and its impact on daily life
  • Listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report
  • Work with a diverse range of customers and handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism

Requirements

  • An NMC registered nurse with 1 year’s broad post-registration experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working towards individual and team targets, in a supportive environment
  • Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
