About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Wirral Access / 0-18 Team, CYPMHS. The post is full-time, but we are open to considering requests for part-time hours.

The selected candidate will be responsible for offering highly specialist psychological assessment of children and young people presenting with complex mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities

  • Offer case discussion / debrief to support psychological thinking about families.
  • Provide psychological advice and guidance to colleagues in relation to cases with high levels of risk and complexity.
  • Develop the workforce through provision of clinical supervision, psychological consultation, and continuing professional development.
  • Embed psychological approaches and offer placements for Trainee Clinical Psychologists.

Person Specification
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for two years with full responsibility for children/young people's psychological care.
  • Experience of teaching, training, and supervision.
  • Post qualification experience of working with children and young people with chronic health conditions.
