Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Residential Support Worker for Deaf Services, you will play a vital role in supporting young adults who are profoundly deaf in a residential home setting in Mid Devon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the daily needs of our residents, including personal care and daily living tasks
  • Encouraging independence and promoting a sense of community among residents
  • Communicating effectively with residents using British Sign Language (BSL) and other communication methods
  • Working closely with other local organisations and services to provide a wide range of activities and support

Requirements

  • Desirable knowledge of BSL, with courses offered to support development
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a close-knit team
  • Passion for supporting individuals with sensory loss and promoting independence
