Residential Support Worker - Deaf Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young adults who are profoundly deaf and require assistance with their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support our young adults with their daily needs, including personal care and household tasks
  • Encourage and facilitate communication using British Sign Language (BSL) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each young adult
  • Collaborate with the core team and other local organizations to provide a wide range of activities, hobbies, and educational input
  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the residential home and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents

Requirements:

  • Desirable knowledge of BSL, with courses offered to support your development
  • Ability to work closely with a dedicated core team and on-job training
  • Commitment to providing outstanding care and support to our young adults
