Job Title: Residential Support Worker - Deaf Services

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at CareTech Group. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our young adults who are profoundly deaf and require assistance with their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting our young adults with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household chores
  • Encouraging independence and promoting a sense of community among residents
  • Communicating effectively with residents using British Sign Language (BSL) and other communication methods
  • Working closely with other local organizations and services to provide a range of activities and support
  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of the residential home and supporting the needs of residents

Requirements:

  • Desirable knowledge of BSL, with courses offered to support development
  • Ability to work as part of a team and provide support to colleagues
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including full-time and part-time
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to our residents
