About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in Paediatric Oncology and a proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the management of Paediatric Oncology patients, including inpatient ward reviews and outpatient clinics.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines in Paediatric Oncology.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients with complex needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, patients, and families to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and developments in Paediatric Oncology and implement evidence-based practices in clinical care.
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.
  • On the GMC specialist register in Paediatrics or within six months of successful completion of UK paediatric training at the time of interview.
  • MBBS or equivalent degree.
  • MRCPCH or equivalent.
  • At least six months of PICU at middle grade level.
  • Up-to-date APLS/PALS.
  • Experience in managing Paediatric Haematology/Oncology patients.
  • Higher specialist training in Paediatric Oncology (minimum of 6 months in a major Paediatric Haematology/Oncology centre) Paediatric Oncology SPIN.
  • Chemotherapy prescribing.
