We are seeking a highly skilled Vocational Assessor to join our team at CITB. As a Vocational Assessor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality vocational training and assessment for learners in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a cohort of learners, conducting assessments and evaluations of their knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Support and advise Apprenticeship Development Coaches/Apprenticeship Officers in preparing for and during the periodic review process.
- Ensure employers are kept up to date with learner progress and knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Advise and inform learners of End Point Assessment requirements and support them in preparing a portfolio of evidence.
- Carry out assessments and training in the workplace to ensure learners confidently demonstrate technical and specialist knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
- Conduct IQA activities as required.
- Develop high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment resources.
- Provide regular written and verbal feedback to learners on their work and performance.
- Minimum of Level 3 qualification directly related to the role applied for.
- Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role applied for.
- Relevant industry experience in the construction industry in a related role.
- Excellent knowledge of current industry practices.
- Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role).
- Assessor Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing).
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Higher level construction-related qualification.
- Level 5 teaching qualification.
- Experience of apprenticeship delivery.
