Job Title: IQA Supervisor

Role Purpose:

To lead and manage a team of vocational assessors, providing high-quality vocational training and assessment for learners. The role involves ensuring compliance with external awarding organisation requirements and liaising with industry stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line manage and lead a team of vocational assessors to ensure high-quality assessments and evaluations of learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours.
• Ensure compliance with external awarding organisation requirements and liaise with industry stakeholders as necessary.
• Lead and deliver CPD sessions for Apprenticeship Development Coaches/Apprenticeship Officers to enhance their understanding of specialist industry terminology and practice.
• Regularly quality assure learners' work to ensure it meets the required standards.
• Contribute to the development of new products, including teaching, learning, and assessment resources, and new qualifications and apprenticeship standards.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

• Minimum of Level 3 vocational qualification directly related to the role applied for.
• Specialist licence to practice qualifications relevant to the role applied for.
• Relevant industry experience in the construction industry in a related role.
• Excellent knowledge of current industry practices and relevant qualifications and apprenticeship standards.
• Minimum of Level 3 teaching qualification (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing role).
• Assessor and IQA Awards (or commitment to achieve within one year of commencing).

Desirable:

• Higher level construction-related qualification.
• Level 5 teaching qualification.

Special Conditions/Other Requirements:

• Able to work non-standard hours as required.
• Able to travel and make occasional overnight stops.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Enhanced DBS/PVG check.
