Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Urgent Treatment Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading our team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional leadership and clinical expertise to our Urgent Treatment Service team.
  • Manage same-day presentations of patients to our service, ensuring a smooth patient journey across the whole pathway.
  • Work in partnership with primary and secondary care colleagues and other agencies to secure a seamless patient experience.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients with urgent medical, minor injury, and minor illness presentations, developing working diagnoses and treatment plans.
Person Specification:
  • Professional registration with either the NMC or HCPC.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (v300) if appropriate to registered profession/role.
  • Possession of a 1st degree in a clinical field, such as nursing or physiotherapy, at a minimum 2:2 classification.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and risk assessment/management.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Evidence of recent teaching, mentorship, and supervision of staff.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Evidence of quality improvement methodology and audit experience.
  • Computer skills, including radiology, pathology, and microbiology ordering as per Trust protocols.
  • Car driver with valid UK license and access to a car for work purposes.
