Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Primary Care Careers. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in transforming and modernizing pathways of care, enabling the safe and effective sharing of skills across traditional professional boundaries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice, education, and support to staff, patients, their families, and carers, demonstrating a high level of expertise within the specialist service.
  • Practice autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner within the designated speciality area, providing patient-centred clinical care, including advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.
  • Support new ways of working that emphasize a more efficient and patient-focused service, ensuring the safe treatment, referral, and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations in their area.
  • Lead the on-going development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service, including the development of policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Person Specification

  • Professional registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC, or GPhC).
  • Post-graduate qualification in a specific speciality or equivalent experience.
  • Post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in the specialty area.
