As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering and coordinating the daily teaching, planning, assessment and pastoral care for a small group of pupils with mild to moderate learning needs across Key Stages One and Two.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be required to teach a small group of SEND pupils with a range of learning differences. You will provide a quality of teaching and learning provision so that all pupils make progress in line with the targets and recommendations of their Learning Plans or EHCPs.

You will work closely with the main school SENDCo to monitor pupil social communication and overall development. You will also contribute actively to provision mapping and annual reviews. In addition, you will support pupils, when and if appropriate, during any involvement with the main school, personalising learning as needed.

Pastoral Care Responsibilities

As part of this role, you will be the first point of contact for parents to update them on their child's day, learning and achievements. You will set targets for high expectations for pupils' behaviour, learning, motivation and presentation of work by establishing a purposeful working atmosphere and providing challenging and inspirational learning experiences.

What We Offer

This is a temporary position, but there may be an option to make it permanent at a later date. The salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. You will also have the opportunity to attend training relevant to the role.

Interview Process

The interview process will involve an MS Teams Meeting followed by a day spent working as a teaching assistant in the school to assess suitability in the environment.
