Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a skilled Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and building new equipment, modifying existing equipment, and performing welding repairs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build: Design and build new equipment as required, modifying existing equipment to meet production needs.
  • Welding Repairs: Perform welding repairs to machinery in the workshop or production areas, and make new fabrication additions to existing machinery.
  • New Systems Installation: Work as part of the engineering team on new installation work, building new equipment to assist in installations, and modifying kit as required.
  • Administration: Assist with the preparation and implementation of training for Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures, and preparing Method Statements for tasks and jobs in production areas.

Requirements:

  • Welding Competence: Competent at welding and able to work with a variety of materials.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills between all levels within the business.
  • Time Management: Ability to work to set deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Health and Safety: Understanding of health and safety requirements and implementation in the workplace.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and confident/competent to work as an individual.
  • Microsoft Office Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Welding Qualification: Possession of a welding qualification.
  • Food Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety and training towards or achieved CIEH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety.
