Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in a Production Maintenance Specialist role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production departments and ancillary areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular mechanical, electrical (where permitted), and plumbing maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Participate in the on-call rota, providing maintenance support during off-hours to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Conduct regular Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of all machinery and fabrication to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing overall production efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in production maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Flexibility to participate in the on-call rota and work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
