Submarine Electromagnetic Compatibility Expert

Role Summary: We are seeking an Undergraduate Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our Submarines team. As an EMC Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our submarine systems operate effectively in complex electromagnetic environments.
">About the Team: Our Submarines team is responsible for designing, building, testing, and commissioning the largest and most advanced submarines ever operated by the Royal Navy.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Specify and manage EMC requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platform, or programme.
- Advising design teams on EMC requirements and design for EMC considerations.
- Liaising with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
- Performing and reporting on tests undertaken on systems to demonstrate compliance against relevant standards.
- Designing and implementing system mitigation to meet EMC standards.
Salary: £23,100
">Additional Information: This role requires a baseline personnel security standard clearance. If successful, you'll be required to work up to 5 days per week at our site in Barrow, Cumbria.
