About the Role: We are seeking an Undergraduate Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join our team. This role will involve specifying and managing EMC requirements for design teams, undertaking specialist testing of systems, subsystems, and components, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Specify and manage EMC requirements and acceptance criteria specific to a system, platform, or programme.
  2. Advise design teams on EMC requirements and design for EMC considerations.
  3. Liaise with EMC test engineers to design and specify testing regimes to prove system compliance against relevant standards.
  4. Perform and report on tests undertaken on systems to demonstrate compliance against relevant standards.
  5. Design and implement system mitigation to meet EMC standards.

About You: As a minimum requirement, you'll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or Maths. Knowledge of wave propagation and electromagnetic interference with electronics would be beneficial.

Additional Information: This role requires a baseline personnel security standard clearance. If successful, you'll be required to work up to 5 days per week at our site in Barrow, Cumbria.
