Director of Pharmaceutical Development and Innovation

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Pharmaceutical Development to join our team at PCI Pharma Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring our Pharmaceutical Development groups to deliver technical excellence and agreed client development milestones.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Pharmaceutical Development teams to achieve technical excellence and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement strategies to deliver client project portfolios and achieve revenue growth.
- Provide technical expertise and support to Business Development teams to secure new business opportunities.
- Act as a source of technical expertise within the company, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and Continuous Improvement Manager to achieve continuous improvements and site targets.
- Ensure all staff achieve quality compliance targets and support client and regulatory audits as required.
- Develop and manage the budgets of the department.
- Member of the Site Leadership Team and authority for expenditure as defined in the purchasing authority levels document.
- Adhere to PCI SOPs, Health & Safety, GMP, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure GMP Skill Level 1 is maintained and followed.
- Scientific degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Higher degree (e.g. PhD) in Chemistry or related scientific discipline is desirable.
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical development, process technology, and/or pharmaceutical development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expertise in Pharmaceutical Development, Clinical manufacture, process scale-up, and validation.
- Extensive knowledge in process technology and/or pharmaceutical development, ideally in potent OSD.
- Ability to operate at a senior level and work to deliver to tight timelines.
- Highly driven and passionate about delivering results.
- Growth mindset and self-confidence.
- Resilience and customer-focused approach.
- Green Belt Certified.
