About the Role:

As Director of Pharmaceutical Development, you will lead and inspire a team of experts at our Tredegar site, ensuring technical excellence and driving client project success. This role is crucial in supporting PCI's growth strategy by delivering innovative solutions and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Pharmaceutical Development groups within PCI Pharma Services, Tredegar.
  • Ensure technical excellence in all development projects (solid oral, liquids, and semi-solids), adhering to industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
  • Effectively manage and deliver client project portfolios, meeting agreed milestones and exceeding expectations.
  • Drive revenue growth within the Pharmaceutical Development department by securing new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Provide technical expertise to Business Development teams, supporting client meetings, proposals, and technical scopes.
  • Stay abreast of industry advancements through continuous learning, attending conferences, and engaging with scientific literature.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to implement continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of excellence within the development groups.
  • Ensure compliance with all PCI Pharma Services policies and procedures, including quality, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of pharmaceutical development professionals.

Qualifications:

  • A scientific degree (e.g., Chemistry) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical development, particularly with solid oral, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing technical teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
