Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Therapy Assistant to join our Community Stroke and Neuro team at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby. The successful candidate will work with patients in their own homes or in bedded facilities in the community, supporting registered occupational therapists and physiotherapists to carry out ongoing intervention for rehabilitation.
The role involves assessing and supporting individuals to facilitate safety and maximise independence in their daily lives. Interventions can include a range of assessments and rehabilitation activities, assistive equipment, advice, and information sharing.
Excellent communication skills are required to ensure a collaborative approach to patient care from the multidisciplinary team involved.
The post holder will be required to hold a Foundation Degree in Professional Practice or an equivalent Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject area.
Main Duties of the Job
The focus of the role is to provide a high standard of therapy service working under the supervision of registered Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists.
The successful candidate will be required to manage their own caseload and work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver a high-quality service.
