About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy Support Specialist to join our Community Stroke and Neuro Therapy team in North East Lincolnshire.
This role will involve providing assistance to therapy staff in organizing and delivering efficient patient care, including some clinical activity assisting with patient treatments, following specific treatment plans, and providing equipment. The successful applicant will also be responsible for clerical and administrative duties directly supporting the therapy team.
The post will be based at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby as an office base, and out in the community in patients' own homes in the North East Lincolnshire area. This will involve traveling to different settings, including patient homes, care home facilities, and local leisure facilities on occasions.
Main Responsibilities
As a Physiotherapy Support Specialist, you will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, relating well to people in all arenas. You will be involved in supporting therapists with treatment programs, data collection, ordering equipment, and accompanying therapists on home visits. Duties will also include non-clinical administrative tasks such as collating information and maintaining/equipment delivery to support the team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Good communication skills, relating well to people in all arenas;
- Competent IT skills;
- Ability to work independently with delegated tasks;
- Excellent organizational and timekeeping skills;
- Able to deal with people who may be distressed or anxious with sensitivity;
- Access to transport and ability to travel within the required geographical area;
